The Brief was to create a new Identity for Paul Laidlaw an Auctioneer and antiques expert who has appeared on BBC’s “Bargain Hunt” Paul is setting up a new auction house in Cumbria and wanted the new identity to be clean and elegantly striking to take on the new firm. I decided to approach this brief by looking at a concept rather than just a logo slapped onto different media. I looked into words associated in and around an auction, words that were personal and had meaning. This lead to a typographical approach with black and white images and one striking spot colour.
